Glen Raymond Breshears

October 20, 1934 ~ November 17, 2023 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Tribute

Glen Raymond Breshears, 89, Caldwell, peacefully passed away on Friday morning, November 17, 2023. After graciously waiting to be reunited with loved ones gone before.
Glen was born in rural Owyhee County, (Homedale) Idaho on October 20, 1934 to Raymond and Margaret Breshears.
His family moved to Caldwell when he was age two and where he grew up on Dixie River Rd. He had two siblings, an older sister Marjie, and a younger sister Elsie. He learned the value of hard work by working with his father using teams of work horses for every part of farming. He had a love of horses. He was a hard worker. He attended the Notus schools.
In 1954 he married Maxine Rae Brown and together they had 2 children; Lyle Breshears, and Linda (Breshears) Bunn. His life was full of adventure.. They started out with a small dairy farm, following the footsteps of both sets of parents. (There’s a story to be told there!) He worked as a ranch hand working cattle and breaking horses. He also rode bareback bronc riding in the local rodeos for a couple of years when he was young. Glen farmed and ranched for his life work, always raising cattle, growing crops, and riding horses.
He even enjoyed trying his hand at a little mining after retirement. Glen certainly had a wanderlust. They also lived and worked on 3 different Native American reservations. Mom used to say, “when the wind was blowing, if his hat blew off, we were moving again.” He lived in Caldwell, Homedale, Jordan Valley, Lupton AZ, Ely NV, Eugene OR, Kamiah ID, Gulf Shores AL, Tamarack, Cascade, and Nampa, ID. Several of these places he lived more than once. But, they always moved back to Caldwell before beginning his next adventure.
Glen is survived by his children; Lyle Breshears, Linda (Randy) Bunn; 7 Grandchildren, Clint (Lynna) Lundy, Deana (James) Jolley, John (Wendy) Bunn, Sara Breshears, Kellei Bunn, Amanda (Jonathan) Stocking, Billy (Melyssa) Bunn; 14 Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his wife; Maxine Rae (Brown) Breshears, his parents, Raymond T. and Margaret A. (Tracy) Breshears, and sister; Marjie Baldwin and brother in law Lawrence Baldwin, and sister Elsie Lane.
