Gerald Talbot

December 10, 1945 ~ August 7, 2021 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Tribute

It is with deep sadness that Janice Talbot and her family announce the peaceful passing of “Al” at his home on Saturday, August 7th, 2021, at the age of 75, with family by his side.
Al is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice Talbot, a daughter Heidee Ross, a son Ryon (Christi) Talbot, granddaughters Kailee (Jake) Seeberger and Blakeley Talbot, a grandson Grant Stang, and great-grandsons Stetson and Cohen Seeberger.
Al was born in Caldwell, Idaho on December 10th, 1945, to Gerald and Ruth Talbot. He graduated from Caldwell High in 1964 and then entered the military reserve which he was active in for 8 years. Al worked for Sears as a credit manager in Washington state where he fell in love with Janice Hilden and made her his bride in 1969. In 1970 they had a daughter, Heidee and their son Ryon soon followed in 1973. They moved to Idaho in 1973 and bought Talbot Lanes from his father. Together, Al and Jan ran the bowling center/lounge for 27 years. Al belonged to the Masonic Temple for 47 years and was part of the Shriner’s motor patrol with his father for many years. Al was also active in the Elks lodge 1448 for 53 years. Al loved to spend time up at their Donnelly property as much as possible. He also enjoyed hunting with his lifelong friend Roger, although they didn’t have much luck at it. Al enjoyed anything he wanted to do, when he wanted to do it, and how he wanted it done his entire life from flying planes, snowmobiling, to water skiing. He bowled (of course), he golfed (a lot), and lived life on his terms.
Al will be greatly missed by many and will be looking down from happy hour in heaven.
Al is preceded in death by his father Gerald Talbot, mother Ruth Talbot, sister Clarice Stultz, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Instead of donating flowers it would be much appreciated if you could donate to the Shriner’s Hospital or Elks Lodge #1448 in his name.
