Gerald Lee Guyer, 74 of Caldwell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Per his request, no services will be held. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
Gerald was born November 8, 1942 in Long Beach, California to Kenneth and Alma (Tharp) Guyer. He was raised and educated in California. Gerald joined the US Navy in 1959 and served in Heavy Attack Squadron Eight. Following his honorable discharge, he began working for United Airlines. He retired after 33 years as a ground mechanic, from which he also won awards for his mechanic skills.
Gerald married Dorothy A. (Lana) McCoy in 1976. They moved to Idaho when he retired.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Dorothy Guyer; four children, Kathy Ringo, Melissa McCoy, Barbara Napolitano and Nicholas Ringo; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his faithful pets, Rosabella, Star and Benjamin.
He was loved dearly by his family and will be forever missed.
