Dr. Tom Thebo, died peacefully at Dorian Place in Ontario, Oregon on the 24th of December 2017, at the age of 91. He was born on January 12th, 1926, in King Hill, Idaho, to Horton And Caroline Thebo, joining his sisters Helen, La Verne, and Katherine. He lived in King Hill until he was 17 when he joined the Navy during World War 2. He served his country for 3 years during this time in Hawaii.

Tom met Mary Tubert in 1946, in Seattle, Washington, on a blind date. Their lives were never the same afterwards. They married on August 15th, 1946. The very next day they left for Boise, Idaho so Tom could start school at Boise Jr. College (now Boise State University). It was at this time that both Tom and Mary worked at the Gowen Field Officers Club on Saturday nights. They met many fine people at the officer’s club including several mentors who helped Tom with his upcoming career. Tom graduated from Boise Jr. College in 1948, then spent a year at the College of Idaho, then graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1953. Dr. Tom set up his dental practice in Parma, Idaho in 1953 and enjoyed his career until 1996 when he retired. There are so many people that Dr. Tom enjoyed working with over the years; including Dr. Jim Mann. One of Tom's many honors included Governor Cecil Andrus appointing him to the Idaho State Board of Dental Examiners.

Tom and Mary were blessed with one son, Craig. Seven years later the family added Bill and Cindy.

Tom loved working in his wood shop. He built furniture, and wood carvings. He also enjoyed painting and other crafty things. He enjoyed horses his entire life and owned many throughout the years. Tom and Mary built a cabin at Owyhee Reservoir where friends and family had many wonderful memories together. Tom and Mary traveled around the country and the world. After retirement, Tom and Mary wintered in Sun City Arizona.
