Gene W Dillon

Gene Wesley Dillon, passed from this world on Wednesday October 24th, 2018.  Gene was born in Avondale, Colorado on May 11, 1931 the second to the youngest of six boys.  He was in the first graduating class of Conquers Bible College in Portland Oregon. He followed in the footsteps of his four older brothers and honorably served in the military.  He was a cook’s helper in the Army where he learned to excel at cooking for large crowds and making beautiful displays of food. Gene had a heart for missions and contributed, time, money and labor for God’s kingdom.  
He is proceeded in death by his parents Thomas Andrew Dillon and Flora (Dixon) Dillon, and his five brothers, Norman, Raymond, Arthur, Thomas and Albert.  In addition, he was preceded by his son David Edward, and former wife Jewel Evangeline (Yadon) Dillon.  He is survived by his daughter Gloria and her husband Dwayne Hurst of Sugar Grove, Ohio, four grandchildren Jordan (Kathy), Eric, Devin (Marie), Sierra (Cory), and 12 great grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday, October 28 from 5 to 7 at the Dakan Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held Monday, October 29 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Norman Rutzen officiating
