Tribute

On September 24th, our Father Gary Littlefield passed away after his battle with cancer. He was 78 years old. He was born in PA. He left PA to join the military, where he served proudly in the Marine Corps. After serving for our Country, he found his new home in California, where he met his wife of 56 years, Jean and together they raised 3 children.
Gary leaves behind his wife Jean of 56 years, their 3 children, Larry, Heidi and Andrea, his 5 grandchildren and his 7 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and many friends he made through his journey in life.
He did not know a stranger. Every person he knew, he considered a friend. He was the man that would give you the coat off his own back. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed coin collecting. He enjoyed sharing his fishing and hunting stories.
In his healthier years, you would always find him outside. When he was at home, he was always tinkering around outside. If he was not at home, you could almost bet he was on a lake fishing, or it was hunting season. He also enjoyed seeing the country. He would see most of the country from the road.
Once he retired from truck driving, he took a PT job delivering cars, again this gave him the opportunity to see the Northwestern States and kept him busy. Once the cancer became too much he began enjoying TV, you could usually find him watching wrestling. He was a master at cross word puzzles. He would also read the paper front to back.
Everyone knew when they went to the house dad would have the candy bowl full. When it was time to leave, he would always make sure you took candy or food home with you. He didn’t want anyone to leave hungry.
Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother & Friend, thank you for the memories. Your body has left us, but your love will be with us forever. May you rest in Peace, WE LOVE YOU.
Gary will be buried with Military Honors at the VA Cemetery in Boise on 6/10/22.
