Floyd E. Wood, 59, passed away at home on Monday, January 29, 2018 in Caldwell, Idaho after a courageous battle with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was born April 19, 1958 to Fred and Mary Wood in Anchorage, Alaska.
Floyd enlisted in the US Army after high school and was honorably discharged in 1977. He married Kathy Twitchell on August 9, 1993. Floyd enjoyed many activities including cards, bowling, skydiving and golf. He was driven to do his best, but he was most focused on helping raise his two grand kids, Jamie and Kaiden.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; stepson, TJ Easter; beloved grandchildren, Jamie and Kaiden Easter; mother, Mary and Jerry Stevenson of Rochester, Washington; stepmother, Tana Wood of Burlington, Washington; brother, Fred and Margy Wood of Kenai, Alaska; sister, Deborah and Kraig Spille of Nampa, Idaho; brother, Rick Wood and Joan Bigelow of Boise, Idaho; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred E. Wood Sr. and sister, Ginny Ricketts.
The family wishes to thank the Boise and Seattle Veterans Administration for their skilled and compassionate care. We know he kept them smiling with his wisecracks, bad jokes and bravado.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests making a donation to the twins, Jamie and Kaiden, for their college fund.
