Florence Orlene Smalley

Florence Orelen Smalley, 71, died Sunday, August 12, 2018 at her home in Caldwell, Idaho. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 20th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell with interment following at Meridian Cemetery, Meridian. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening, August 19th between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Dakan Chapel. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
Florence was born August 13, 1946 in Grant, Nebraska, the oldest of seven siblings. She graduated from Boise High School in 1964. Florence married her high school sweetheart, Jim Nelson, and they were blessed with one child, Nicole.
Florence lived a full life and had lots of adventures. She was very giving and kind hearted. Florence lived in several states, California, Washington, and Alaska.
Florence was very smart and very independent.  She loved her job and worked hard in hospital administration. 
Florence is survived by her daughter, Nicole Nelson; her granddaughter, Jessica Gutierrez; her great-grandson, Colt James Gutierrez; her mother, Goldie Dolan; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
