Elijah Charles Brock

December 18, 1998 ~ September 6, 2021 (age 22) 22 Years Old

Tribute

Our dear son Elijah “Eli”, 22, tragically left us to be in the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, September 6, 2021. Elijah Charles Brock was born on December 18, 1998, at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho, to Lance and Jennifer Brock joining his brother Colby. Eli attended Grace Lutheran Preschool and Notus Kindergarten, Elementary, and Junior-Senior High School, graduating in 2017. He then attended College of Western Idaho.
Eli was very active in school. He loved making lifelong friendships with his classmates as they grew up together in their 13 years at Notus schools. In high school, Eli played baseball and football, enjoyed snowboarding, was a member of Notus FFA, and studied Diesel Mechanics in the COSSA ProTech program.
Eli was very sentimental and loved learning the history of everything—cars, family, community, anything with a story behind it. From an early age, Eli could point out any car and tell you the make and model. Most of all, Eli had a giant heart. He was compassionate and caring in all ways, including his sweet disposition with the elderly, especially his Grandma Hume. Kids always enjoyed when Eli was around. He was so patient with them and genuinely enjoyed entertaining them. He also enjoyed playing video games with Papa G and whatever food that included, and riding in the Z. His best friends, however, were his siblings—Colby and Hannah, whom he dearly loved.
He always had an incredible work ethic. He worked at D & B and especially enjoyed working with Kevin Hensen, Ryan Payne, and “B”. He currently worked at Steve Reagan. He loved this job because he made so many friends on his routes. He always looked forward to new adventures and would often share aspects of his workday with his family, which they looked forward to.
Eli was baptized with his family on January 10, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church and confirmed at Grace on May 27, 2012. Eli’s confirmation verse was “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
Eli is survived by his mother and father, Jennifer and Lance, his brother and sister, Colby and Hannah, his maternal grandmother, Barbara Hume, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his God brother, Colton.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Evert, Nurse Kristen, and all the medical staff at St. Luke’s Nampa Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Elijah Brock’s memory to St. Luke’s Health Foundation and designate Staff Support. Gifts can be made online at www.stlukesonline.org\give or mailed to St. Luke’s Health Foundation, 190 E Bannock Boise, ID 83712.
As we are devastated by this loss, we would like our friends and family to know how much we appreciate your love, prayers, and support during this heartbreaking time.

The funeral service for Eli will take place at Deer Flat Church, 17703 Beet Rd., Caldwell on Tuesday, September 28, at 11:00 am. It will be followed by a short graveside service at Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma.
