Edna Deloris Altig

Edna Deloris Altig, 81, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away on August 31, 2022.

Edna was born July 10, 1941 in Dora, Missouri, to Hollis and Eunice (Mayberry) Eagans. Edna was the second oldest of fourteen siblings. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1959. Edna had various part-time jobs at Grand Central, a Hallmark store, a tanning salon, Daylight Donuts, and Meridian Speedway. Edna married Verner Altig on July 31, 1965 and her full time job was that of a wife and mother.

Survivors include her children: Kim Street; David (BettyAnn) Street; Patti (Michael) Donovan; Valerie Altig; and Jason Altig; her daughter-in-law Tuesday Altig; her grandchildren: Ariah Street; Connor Street (Shabrea); Austin Altig; Tommy Donovan; Patrick Donovan; Michael Donovan; Sean Donovan; Joe Altig, Jr. (Kelli); Kevin Altig; Tim Altig; her great grandchildren: JaeLynn; Ashelynn; Zayla; Savayah; Oliver; Bryce; and Peyton: her sisters Elsie Johnson; JoAn Wade (Chuck); Renee Janota; and Cindy Lord; sisters-in-law Lynda Eagans; Sharon McNatt; Cheryl (David) Herbenson; Carol (Bob) Miles; Kathy (Jon) Pedersen; Kim Horton; Sue (George) Bruno: her brothers-in-law Ron Woodard; Richard Altig; Derry Altig; many cousins; nieces; nephews; grands and greats; and her Church Family at West Valley Baptist Church in Nampa, Idaho, including her dear friends the Acosta family.

Edna loved to send cards of all types to her family and friends. Everyone is welcome to bring a card for Edna that will be placed in her casket just for her to read.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Verner Altig, her sons Danny Ray Street and Joseph Altig, her grandsons Joshua Bleau Wood and Zachariah David Street, her brothers Edward Eagans, Roy Eagans, Leon Eagans, David James Eagans and Timothy George Eagans, and her sisters Sue Olsen and Eulah Woodard.

A viewing will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Dakan Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 N Horseshoe Bend Rd, Boise. A reception will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Silver Crest Estates 1, Clubhouse, 1907 W. Flamingo Avenue, Nampa, ID  83651. The reception is potluck: please bring a side dish and drinks.
