Donald Ray Finch, 59, Wilder, passed away unexpectedly April 28, 2018, at his home. Don was born February 4, 1959, in Nampa, the third of five sons of James David (Dave) and Mary Lou Smith Finch. Don grew up in the Scism and Southside communities and attended Nampa schools. During high school and early adulthood, Don was employed on farms in Upper Deer Flat and Dry Lake areas. He hired on with Union Pacific Railroad in the late 1970s and worked there for many years as a section crewman and a welder’s assistant. After leaving the railroad, Don resumed agricultural work, and for the past few years he worked at Asumendi Produce.
Don was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by three children: Chad (Koda), Jessica, and Damon (Jennifer); four grandchildren; four brothers: Marty (Debbie), John (Mary), Greg, and Geoff (Suzanne). The family extends their sincere appreciation to Domingo Asumendi for his kindness and friendship to Don.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 11, at 4:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
