Dolores Emma Northern, 72, of Caldwell, ID, passed away from this journey on earth on March 6, 2020 at Valleyview Nursing and Rehab in Boise, ID, where she resided for the last 8 months.
Dolores was born in Nampa, ID to Carl and Mary Merritt on June 2, 1947. She went to school in Notus and graduated there . She married John Robert Northern on May 12, 1968 in Clark, Washington and they were married for 46 years. She has attended the First Assembly of God In Caldwell, Idaho for over 30 years. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and knew God had a place prepared for her. She was selfless, loving, and was always there to listen as a mother, grandmother or friend. . She demonstrated that with her love for her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
For many years she worked graveyard shifts at convenient stores. After retirement, she enjoyed going shopping at least 3 times a week and spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved to get her nails painted, playing bingo and enjoyed playing cards with whoever would play.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Merritt and her husband, John Northern.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Carla Dimond, granddaughter, Priscilla Morales, grandsons, Aaron Dimond and Caden Dimond, great grandchildren, Evelyn Morales and Bernardo Morales Jr, brother Dewayne Merritt and sister Kathy Barnes.
Memorials may be given to Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, ID. A memorial service will be held at 11:00, March 16th at Caldwell First Assembly “The Domes”. Graveside service to follow at Canyon Hills Cemetery located at 2024 N Illinois Ave; Caldwell, ID 83605. Arrangements are by Dakan Funeral Chapel.
