Delwin (Del) Jay Treasure died peacefully in his home on March 11, 2019 in Caldwell, Idaho at the age of 89.
Del is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Treasure and 8 children, Lavon (Mary) Treasure, Bonnie (Phil) Wells, Kevin (Karol) Anderson, LeeAnn Anderson, Dean (Karen) Treasure, Brad Davidson, Darrell (Traci) Treasure, Christine (Mike) Smith, 27 Grandkids, many great grandkids, and great, great grandkids. He is preceded in death by parents Fred and Alta Treasure, brothers Joe and Zay Treasure, and daughter Donna Stokes.
Del was born on November 2, 1929 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Fred and Alta Treasure. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was in the reserves for 17 years. For 25 years he ranched in the Lemhi Valley. He moved to the Treasure Valley in the early 80’s and was well known in the community as a Livestock broker. His family remembers him as a kind, gentle, patient, dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
Del was successful at raising livestock, taking care of them, and enjoyed being involved in the livestock sales industry. The people who worked with him thought highly of him as a fair and honest person. He was a man of great integrity. He was also a generous individual who loved and enjoyed his cats. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
A funeral is scheduled for Monday March 18th, 2019, viewing at 10:00 am, services at 11:00 am at the LDS Church 11792 Linden Rd. Caldwell, Idaho. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Del’s life.
