Delbert LaVern King

Funeral services for Delbert “Bob” King 95, of Caldwell, who died on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at home, will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday, November 24 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell, Idaho. There will be a viewing prior to the funeral at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 10am to 1pm
Bob was born January 12, 1925 in Riverton , Nebraska to Herman and Emma King
He served in the United States Army from 1943-1945 where he fought in World War II, and in the Armey reserve until 1962.
On January 22, 1960 he married the love of his live Charlene Louise Schnase. They shared a loving relationship until her untimely death on March 12, 1988.
Bob enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved being out in his garden. He spent a lot of time at the Caldwell Senior Center playing pool.
Bob is survived by his son LaVern (Sue) King of Nampa, daughter Danette Christie of Tumwater, Wa. A sister Jaulene Sanger, a brother Jack (Pat) King of Hebron, Ne.
Bob was blessed with 10 Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Louise, sister Dorothy Scharff, brother-in-law Anno Sanger, daughters Diana Thurber and Kelly King.
