Claudia Louise Grogan, 81, of Nampa, ID, passed away on November 8, 2023. Born on February 13, 1942, in Yreka, CA, Claudia was a beloved music teacher for over 20 years. She had a passion for music and dedicated her life to sharing her talent with others.
Claudia's musical journey was extensive and impressive. She had the privilege of singing for the Air Force Band of the Golden West and performing at notable venues such as the Riverside Mission Inn. She was also a member of various choirs in the LDS Church, including the prestigious Washington DC Temple Choir. Claudia had a particular fondness for musicals and Operas, with favorites including "Singing in the Rain" and "Die Fledermaus."
Claudia's love for music extended beyond her professional career. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing at home, filling her surroundings with beautiful melodies. In her free time, she indulged in her hobby of researching and documenting family history, a passion that brought her joy and allowed her to connect with her roots.
Claudia is survived by her children: Darren Grogan, Christoper Grogan, Kimberly Grogan, David Grogan, and Jared Grogan. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Elza Deroy Grogan Jr. Her warm presence and musical talents will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held in Claudia's honor at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 18463 Northside Blvd, Nampa, ID 83687 on Dec 2, 2023. The service will celebrate Claudia's life and the impact she had on those around her.
The Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Idaho, is assisting the family with the arrangements. They will ensure that Claudia's final journey is handled with the utmost care and respect.
