Clarence Riley Perry Jr. was born December 24, 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK to Clarence Sr. and Dorothy (Higgs) Perry. Clarence grew up in Oklahoma, Florida, Washington and Oregon. He received his education in Alvadore, OR, Junction City, OR, and Eugene, OR. He then graduated from a machinist school in Florida. Later on he completed a two year course in electronics. Clarence served in the U.S. Army from March 1944 to Feb. 1947. On Dec. 13, 1951 he married the love of his life LaVerne (Ulm) Perry. Their marriage lasted 55 years till LaVerne’s passing Aug. 2007. Clarence was a machinist most of his adult life. He worked for the B.F. Goodrich and Goodyear Aircraft in Akron, OH. The Anaconda Copper in NV and ADCO West in Emmett, ID where he served as plant superintendent. Clarence worked as engineering supervisor at the West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, ID. He retired Jan. 1987 after ten years of service. He was a long time member of Middleton First Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing gospel music for many years at local rest and retirement homes. Clarence is survived by his four children and their spouses, Kathy and (Ron) Widmann, Dorothy, Frank and (Sheri) Perry, Cliff Perry; his sister, Norma Garutso; niece, Karen and (Darren) Goldburg. He was also blessed with six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Clarence loved the Lord and was blessed by Him in many ways. A visitation will be 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Dakan Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at Dakan Funeral Chapel.
