Charles S Pemberton

Charles Stephens Pemberton, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2021, surrounded by his wife and family.
Charles was born March 21, 1939, in Ash Flat, Arkansas. In 1951, he moved to Wilder, ID with his family. He met his wife of 63 years, Doris Mayhew, in 1952. From this union five children were born: Alice (Ron) Wills; Steve (Susie) Pemberton; Gregory Pemberton; Kristi Baatz (Robert); Kelli Engum (Scott).
Charles was a hard worker and very dedicated to his family. He enjoyed any opportunity to be with his children and grandchildren. He loved to camp and spent countless hours on 4-wheeler rides with his wife, dear friends and family. He could be a bit of a dare devil and blazed a few trails of his own.
He had many talents, construction being his strong point, and his main occupation. He could build, wire and weld about anything, all self-taught.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Wayne Pemberton and Edith Edra Pemberton; two brothers, Donald Wayne Pemberton and Jimmy Neil Pemberton; his son Gregory Charles Pemberton and granddaughter Deborah Wills.
Charles is survived by his wife, Doris Pemberton; four children, Alice. Steve, Kristi and Kelli; two sisters, Carrie Pemberton Jones (Thomas) and Cora Loretta Palmer and brother Anthony Clay Pemberton (Joyce); and numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and nieces and nephews.
Charles will always be remembered by his family, and those who knew him well, for his sense of humor and teasing ways. Despite his own health obstacles, he could always put a smile on your face.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., July 9th, 2021, at the Greenleaf Friends Church, 20535 N. Academy Road, Greenleaf, ID 83626.
