Charles Louis Kelly (Kelly), age 86, passed away peacefully at West Valley Medical in Caldwell Idaho, on Tuesday, July 21st from complication of a long-term illness.
Kelly was born to George B. and Vera Kelly on December 27th, 1933 in Parry, Florida. At 19, Kelly joined the Air Force. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, and retired after 26 years of honorable service.
Kelly met Darlene Burley in Idaho, and they married and together raised four boys. As a military family, they made their home in many places, including Idaho, Louisiana, and New Mexico, before retiring to Idaho and eventual moving to Florida.
Kelly taught all of his boys the value of truth and integrity. He enjoyed fishing in the many waterways around their home in Palm Bay and passed on his love of fishing to his sons and many of his grandchildren.
After living in Florida for 33 years they made the decision to move back to Idaho in 2018.
Kelly is survived by his wife Darlene, his four sons; Chuck Kelly of Palm Coast, Florida, George (Sue) Kelly of Bunnell Florida, Todd (Toni) Kelly of Homedale, Idaho, Kevin (Keely) Kelly of Nashville, Tennessee,14 beloved grandchildren, many great grandchildren, his brother Joe (Beverly) Kelly of Bunnell Florida and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wilburn (Buddy) and his sister Joyce Townsend.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
