Calvin Keith Naillon

December 3, 1956 ~ December 30, 2020 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Tribute

Calvin Keith Naillon, 64, of Caldwell, Idaho, was called to his eternal home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, as the result of a tragic accident.
Calvin was born December 3, 1956, to Kenneth and Alice (Briggs) Naillon in Ontario, Oregon, the oldest of two sons. He was a retired utility construction foreman for DASCO and member of Celebration Church.
Calvin will be most remembered for the love he had for his wife, the time he devoted to teaching and enjoying his children and grandchildren, and his passion for the outdoors. He found his greatest calling in being a Papa, and he had no greater joy than when he was enjoying God’s creation with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His family is his legacy.
Calvin moved to Caldwell, Idaho, nearly 40 years ago. There he married the love of his life, Tina Loescher Naillon, on November 19, 1988. Together they raised their children Keith, Kenny, and Bobbi. An avid outdoorsman, Calvin shared this love with his children. For him, hunting was an opportunity to spend time with his loved ones. One of his favorite stories was of the first time he took his son Kenny hunting. It was October of 1988, and Kenny was 3 months old, bundled against the cold, carried into the mountains by his dad for his first hunting season. Calvin continued this tradition with his grandsons. Still in diapers, they each joined Papa for their first hunting season.
Calvin loved to join Tina on weekend getaways, anywhere from a cozy cabin in Cascade to a ferry ride around the Statue ofLiberty. She planned the adventures, and he was her faithful travel partner. Their most memorable adventure was an anniversary trip to Alaska where they panned for gold and walked on glaciers. It was Calvin’s dream vacation, one they waited nearly 30 years to take and one of their most precious memories together.
Throughout his life, Calvin prioritized time with family and has given his children and grandchildren countless treasured memories of time spent with Dad/Papa. Weekends, you could find him somewhere in the mountains hunting, fishing, camping, or riding his four-wheeler or General with his wife, children, grandchildren, and brother. His love was quiet and constant; he was a man you could always rely on, a rock for his family.
Calvin was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Naillon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years and their beloved children and grandchildren: son Keith Naillon, his wife Tianna, daughter Keierra, and granddaughter Nova Bonds; son Kenny Naillon, his wife Julie, and sons Karson, Klayton, Jaxson, and Jameson whose birth this spring Calvin excitedly anticipated; and daughter Bobbi Simmons and her husband Justin. He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Alice and Doug Reed; his brother Aaron Naillon and wife Cindy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Calvin’s life will be held at a later date.
