Brenda K Rippen

Brenda was a daughter of Norman and Barbara (Betty) Rippen, born on Rush Creek outside of Cambridge on January 17, 1963. In 1969 the family moved to Eagle then later to Star. Brenda dropped out of high school at sixteen, worked for the Simplot potato processing plant in Caldwell, acquired her GED then attended ITT and graduated with a degree in computer-aided drafting. She was enrolled for classes at BSU for a short time and while there was diagnosed with a mental illness that increased in severity over the span of her lifetime. She had a giving heart and enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family.
Brenda helped to raise her niece, Myrissa, and in 2005 they moved from Star to Midvale where she resided until her illness reached the point she could no longer care for herself. She spent the next several years in care facilities. Survivors include her three sisters: Regina (& Rob) of Marsing, Tonya of Boise, Fredda of South Carolina; four nieces (including Myrissa), one nephew, and one great-niece.
The family would like to thank all the care givers for their attendance over these past years. We know Brenda will be remembered fondly by many of them.

   There will be a viewing on Monday, April 12th 2021 from 5-7 at Dakan Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Star Cemetery in Star, Idaho.
