Tribute

Blake Elwyn Parker was born May 2, 1988 in Ogden, Utah to Bret and Melinda Parker. He was the second child and second son born to his parents, with 10 more younger siblings to follow, giving him ample opportunity to be an amazing older brother. He lived in Clinton, UT until the age of 3. The family then moved to Middleton, ID and that is where he finished growing up, though in four different homes in the Middleton area. He graduated from Middleton High School in 2006. He loved football and basketball and played both all 4 years of high school, often with his brothers as teammates.
After high school Blake attended some college at Boise State University before going into the family business installing floor coverings. He spent many years working for and with his father and alongside many of his siblings.
He had many hobbies including hunting and fishing. He shot his first deer at the age of 12 and hunted many different animals throughout the years but his favorite was Mule Deer.
He also loved to throw horseshoes and was very involved in the local Boise Valley horseshoe league where he made many lifelong friends.
Blake was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in January of 2020. He fought with everything he had and never stopped living life and planning for the future, including proposing to his girlfriend Kaitlyn Armstrong in September of 2020. After a very hard fought two year battle Blake’s body, but not his will to live, succumbed to cancer on January 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.
He made friends everywhere he went. He was and is loved by so many! His memory lives on through his loved ones left behind: his parents, Bret and Melinda Parker; His Siblings and their spouses, Derek (Sarah), Douglas (Natalie), Skyler (Kelsey), Natalie (Keith), Brandie (Tom), Ashlie (Brady), Haylie, Briton, Kylie, and Sydnie; His grandparents, Linda Baird, Martha Parker, and John and Linda Fuit; his fiancé, Kaitlyn Armstrong; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, He is preceded in death by: his sister Kelsie Parker; his grandfathers, Milton Baird and Brent Parker; and his uncles, Mike Baird and Steven Baird.
A special thanks to his family and hundreds of friends who have supported and loved Blake throughout his life.
