Arlen Vaughn Gingrich

Arlen Gingrich, beloved husband, father, grandy, and friend, changed his address to Heaven on Tuesday, November 6, at the age of 66. Arlen was born in Nampa, Idaho, the son of Clinton and Leora. He graduated from Nampa Christian High School in 1970. While attending Northwest Nazarene College, he embarked on a career in sales at Nafziger’s Men’s Store.

In 1977, Arlen started working as a Realtor in the Treasure Valley and, in a career of 42 years, worked with and touched the lives of hundreds of Idaho homeowners. He never met a stranger, only potential friends, and was a consummate professional who inspired those with whom he worked. He married the love of his life, Dani Johnson, in 1980, and together they raised their children, Kandice and Travis. He was a devoted member of Nampa First Church of the Nazarene; his deep faith and relationship with Jesus was paramount to him, and evident to those who knew him.

Arlen was preceded in death by his father, Clinton, and his mother-in-law, Naomi. He is survived by his wife Dani; his mother Leora; his children Kandice (James) Bernhard and Travis (Ashley); his grandchildren Judah and Eleanor; his siblings Byron (Karma), Randy (Debbie), Deb (Matt) Enke and Tanya (Jim) Pepper; dear friend Randy (Marilyn) Jahn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arlen’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Michael Dee, Arlen’s longtime physician; Dr. Benjamin Bridges with MSTI; and the amazing staff at St. Luke’s Hospital Meridian and Boise.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, at 10:30am, at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene on 601 16th Avenue South.
