Annie Maria Silveria passed away on August 8, 2019 at her home in Nampa, Idaho. She was born in Arthur, Nebraska to Charles and Charlotte (Stutheit) Dennis. Annie was the graduating class valedictorian from Lake Alice High School in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and subsequently moved to California where she met the love of her life, Henry “Hank” Silveria.
On their way to Alaska from California, Annie and Hank fell in love with Idaho and decided to stay. They bought a small farm near Homedale, started their family, and plowed out a great life of love and commitment. Annie had a tenacious work ethic and was an example of sheer determination. She managed Ann’s Fruit Stand on Homedale Road for years. Life on the farm wasn’t easy, but as her favorite movie actor John Wayne would say, “That gal’s got grit”.
Annie loved to paint pottery, crochet beautiful afghans, and read romance novels. She stayed in contact with her dearly loved community by selling Avon products. It was said that Annie was an “Icon of Homedale”.
Annie is survived by five children, Julianne Bentley of Grangeville, Jody (Vance) Parker of Boise, Daniel (Candy) Silveria of Caldwell, Stanley (Gaylynn) Silveria of Star, and Sandy (John) Caster of Nampa; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hank Silveria, and two sons David Silveria and Gary Dennis.
The family would like to thank First Choice Hospice and Grace Assisted Living in Nampa for their exceptional care and kindness towards Annie.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 16th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell with a reception immediately following at CV Peckham Community Center adjacent to Dakan Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth.
