Alicia Garcia de Salinas passed comfortably in her home after a long battle with cancer the afternoon of May 7th, 2018 with her favorite music playing. Her niece Andrea (Andy), her best friend Orie, and many other loved ones sat at her bedside.
Alicia is preceded in death by her parents Enrique (Henry) A. Garcia, Concepcion Rosales de Garcia, brother Reynaldo Garcia and her beloved Fur Babies Chato, Anthony and Romeo.
Alicia was born January 7, 1956 in Pharr, Texas. When Alicia was just a little girl the Garcia Family made Parma, Idaho their home. Alicia graduated from Parma High School and went on to pursue a career as a barber. Alicia was a very proud and successful business owner for many years.
Until her last days, Alicia enjoyed fishing, dancing, decorating, party planning, and shopping but her most enjoyed times were spent with her family joking, laughing and cooking. On May 23, 1992 Alicia married her prince charming and the love of her life, Roberto “Honey Bunny” Salinas. After years living in Colorado and New Mexico, Alicia and Roberto found their way back to Idaho where they settled into their forever home in Middleton, Idaho.
Alicia is survived by her amazing husband Roberto Pardo Salinas, her siblings Abel (Alicia) Garcia, Hilda (Wayne) Stanberry, Irma Garcia, Enrique “Hank” (KathleenAndrea) Garcia and Rambaldo Garcia, her children Ivan (Angelina) DeLeon, Alison (Travis) Williams, Sylvia (Darren) Bevry, Roberto (Jimmy) Salinas Jr., her grandchildren Kelsey, Andre’, Lila, Da’Anerra (Nini), Aubri, Izabella, Carlos, Evan, Zoey and Karliana, and her Fur Babies Alejandro “Hondo”, Sisi and Bobo.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 13th at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Parma Cemetery. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com.
