Wilbur L. “Brick” Andrew passed November 8, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, Nov 18, 2017 at Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church, 406 S 14th Ave, Caldwell. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
Brick was born March 23, 1927 in Parma, Idaho. The third of four children of Roy and Lucille Andrew of Wilder, Brick attended Wilder Schools and the University of Idaho where he met Ella “Dutch” Andrew. For serving in the Army, Brick was eligible and drew a GI Homestead north of Caldwell in the newly developed Black Canyon Irrigation District. Here Brick and Dutch started their life together to raise a family on the farm. Believing that being involved in the local community and his profession Brick served many years on the Middleton Rural Fire District Board, Black Canyon Irrigation District Board, Idaho Water Users and was a leader in the formation of Water District 65 on the Payette River. As a member of Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church he served on numerous committees and boards.
Brick was a loving husband and father. Knowing he was the provider for his family, he worked long and hard on the farm, but always had time for family taking them on trips and outings, attending family, church and school events. Teaching each of us the value of family, respect for ourselves and one another, and that a long day’s work is rewarded in many ways.
Brick is survived by daughters, Beverly Davenport (Scott) and Cheryl Forse (Paul); son, Leonard Andrew; and grandchildren, Andy Forse, Lita Forse, Jacquelynn Andrew and Zachary Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Lucille, wife Ella, brother Lyle Andrew, and sisters Ellie Kiser and Phyllis Macintosh.
