“I had the privilege of meeting, knowing, and befriending Shelley as a truly kind, gentle and caring person with a gifted sense of humor---a rare combination that brought joy to all who knew her. Shelley is the sister of my best friend Holly Wimer, and I have had the gift of knowing the Wimer family since 1974. Never in my life have I known a more closely-knit, caring, and supporting family in all my days or travels. My family and I will celebrate Shelley’s life and the happiness of just knowing her. Our condolences to the entire Wimer family for their loss. Shelley left the world a much better place for just having been a part of it. Much love to you and your wonderful family. May Shelley and you all be at peace.

Love,

Eric and Kurt,

I just want you to know how much I loved your mom! She was my kindergarten aide my very first year of teaching. If it hadn't been for her, I wouldn't have had a clue about what was going on! She truly truly was a teacher in her own right! We've stayed close for 25 years following thAt first year of teaching together. Such a positive positive influence on children and adults alike! She will be missed by so many, many of us that she knew and touched! She was so proud of both you boys! We will miss hearing all the updates she gave us on both of you! I hope we can somehow stay in touch! S7 forever!

To Eric and Kurt and families...So sorry to hear of your Momma's passing. I shall always remember working with her on Beta Sigma Phi projects and banquets. We always had so much fun. She was a bright light and had such a positive attitude. Remember all those good memories and she will always be with you. We send loving thoughts and prayers to all of you. She will definitely be missed by many. Love and hugs,

Very saddened to hear of Mrs. Celmer's passing. I was one of those "children" in kindergarten and loved her dearly! Remember growing up in Caldwell and always getting a big hug every time we would run into each other. Love and light to the family.

Shelley has been a big part of my life since childhood. She made me feel like she was the sister I never had and as I grew older I realized she had an incredible gift of inclusion with everyone she met. Even though our busy early married years raising our kids, and miles kept us apart, we never lost touch. I was both blessed and humiliated by her precision steel trap memory as she reminisced about our shenanigans in our youth that my steel sieve memory had lost. It was wonderful to relive those days together again.
I am forever grateful to have had the privelage to help with her care in some of her hard days. She taught me so much about strength and grace and appreciation.
We had good talks about heaven and our faith that God was waiting for us with open arms.
God bless her family and keep them close in their journey through grief. I pray that your faith increases and your trust in the Lord is unwavering. And when you see the monarch butterflies, know she is with you still.
With much love.

ShelleY went all out for every single holiday and sent care packages for her boys when she didn't get to see them. She was fun. She was sweet. She treated me as if I were her own daughter. She will be missed. Hugs to all the family
