I may not known long enough, but I will always remember the time of visiting you with Cerenity. There has not gone a day of me thinking about you or dad, or anyone in the family I may not stayed in contact with you guys and honesty I just found out about your death but you will aways be my grandfather I miss you so much and I wished I would've stayed in Idaho and if I had one wish that wish would be visiting you and everyone else one last time that's has been my only wish. I only wish I gotten to do that before hand before you left this earth. I love you grandpa I always have. I wished I would've known before I found out on own.

They say if we knew then what we know now... it's true. Two years ago if I'd known it was your last day, our last day, I would have never left. I would have stayed by your side until your last second then I would have begged you to stay. I would have told you I love you until my voice was lost. I would have hugged you until my arms had no strength left to hold you. Then I would have stayed still. I would have held your hand long after your last heartbeat. In all things every day I miss and love you always Daddy.

To all who know me it's no secret I idolize my dad, set him on a pedestal high above mere mortals. He taught me many things but not how to continue my journey without him beside me. He only said that someday I'd have to. I hoped that day wouldn't dawn for another 40 years, but a year ago tonight five awful words spoken in the dark decimated me and changed my life forever. I lost a piece of myself, the man I have loved all my life, the very man who showed me what a man should be. How can 365 days mean both already and only? A year already, but I miss you as much as yesterday, as much as every yesterday since you have been gone. Only a year when it seems a lifetime ago I saw you that last day, heard "George!" when I walked in your door, or saw you sitting in your chair. I don't need a special day to miss you, I do it every day and will until the end of my time. I grieve you in all the memories you won't be here to make and celebrate you in the ones I hold onto.
