Maxine Sanderson Nagele

Maxine Nagele, 99 of Caldwell, passed away March 21, 2017 at home surrounded by family. She was born in Redmond, Utah, the fifth of nine children born to Marion Sanderson and Alvenia Okey Sanderson. She moved to Caldwell as a young girl and graduated from school in Caldwell.
Maxine married Fred Nagele, July 16, 1936. Most of her life was spent in Caldwell after she lived in Cascade and Stibnite during the war years when Fred drove mining and logging truck. Fred was foreman and they lived at the Nampa stock yard loading livestock on the trains. Then to Bear, Idaho where Fred was mill wright at a saw mill. She spent many years tying fish flies for Glen L Evans. Maxine then worked at Kit building mobile homes and finally working for her only living sibling, Shirley Cummings, at Flavor Freeze making popsicles.
She was preceded by husband Fred, son Freddie, and son-in-law Bob Richardson.
Maxine will be forever loved by her family, daughters, Linda Richardson and Sharron (Paul) Braun; daughter-in-law, Vickie Nagele; grandchildren, Kellie (Mike) Locker, Fred Nagele, John (Lavoria) Nagele, Bob (Dana) Richardson, Laurie Richardson Brown, Gregory (Christa) Braun, and Marnie (Casey) Vandenberg; great-grandchildren, Nolan and Johnathan Padgett, Danielle Hendrickson, Sarah Anderson, Jennifer (Jarrod) Roberson, Bailey Brown, Eric and Quinn Richardson, Katie and Chase Vandenberg, Michael and Emilee Nagele, and Elyse and Avery Braun; and one great great-grandson, Joshua Nagele.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Martha Martin, Darlene Cross, Mike Dennis, Heart n’ Home Hospice caregivers, Ali and Ingrid, and Maxine’s loving neighbors all of whom showed such care and compassion.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 31st at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
