Mary Ann Frost

November 5, 1935 ~ October 22, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old
Mary Ann (Farmer) Frost, 81, of Caldwell, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 22, 2017. She was born November 5, 1935 in Owensboro, KY, to Lloyd and Ola (Kirk) Farmer. She was a retired Cosmetologist, Army wife, and mother. She enjoyed her family and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary Ann never met a stranger and could remember the names and faces of everyone she encountered. She was the ultimate survivor. She was a very giving person always concerned with friends and family and said that, "If you have something to give you should help others".
Mary Ann met the love of her life, Jolyon (Joe/Jack) Frost, while he was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. They married January 3, 1955. She took well to the military life supporting her husband both home and while he was away. They soon welcomed three children and in 1960 traveled to Europe where they lived for a short time before returning to the states. She especially enjoyed their time in Italy, where they met and maintained friendships that lasted a lifetime. Joe and Mary Ann traveled back to Germany and Italy in the spring of 2006 to make memories and rekindle friendships. They moved back to Joe’s hometown upon retiring from the Army in 1973. She loved to golf with Joe and their friends, picking up the sport after moving to Idaho.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jolyon Frost; son, Lynn Frost; parents, Lloyd and Ola Farmer; 4 brothers, Lloyd D. Farmer, Roy Glenward Farmer, Earl Farmer and James Martin Farmer; and 2 sisters, Juanita “Jean” (Farmer) Bivens and Maxine (Farmer) Hagan.
Surviving are her brother, Lowell Allen (Jessica) Farmer; 2 daughters, Christy (Mike) Campbell and Vicki (Armand) Eckert; grandchildren, Kattie (Ben) Bruno, Erica (John) King/Widner, Sarah Weber, Emily King, and Leigh Bracking; and 4 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harrison’s Hope Hospice, 3137 S Meridian Rd Suite 120, Meridian, ID 83642.
