Lance Patrick Allen O’Krakel, 32, passed away on June 6, 2017. He was born in Nampa, Idaho on October 29, 1984 to Hank and Colleen (Griffin) O’Krakel. He was raised west of Caldwell on a farm with his parents, Colleen and Samuel Schmidt. He was the oldest in his family.
Growing up on the farm, he loved to play hide and seek and so many other barnyard games with his little sisters. He married Rashell Nadine Ross-Lowe on May 11, 2013. One daughter was born to this union. He was building a small farm of rabbits and chickens with his wife, Rashell and daughter, Ariya. He enjoyed the harvest of the garden he worked on with his mom and wife. He loved the farm life and was a true country boy. He also enjoyed hunting in the fall with his dad and brothers-in-law. He loved to take his wife Rashell and his daughters Amelia and Ariya on drives or to go fishing. He was nocturnal and loved to play video games and read avidly. He is missed by so many who knew and loved him. He has found his way home.
Lance is survived by his wife, Rashell; children Amelia, Xander , Phoenix, Brietta, and Ariya; parents Colleen and Samuel Schmidt and Hank and Sharla O’Krakel; sisters Stephanie O’Krakel Womack, Amanda Androlewicz, Laura Schmidt, Jocelyn Pline, and Jade Zamora, and a brother, Zackarie O’Krakel.
Funeral services will be held on June 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Dakan Funeral Chapel. Viewing hours will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13 at the chapel. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com.
