Rest in peace Uncle Lee. This quote has always reminded me of you and of my father, It was on a painting hanging in your mothers house, Jessie Smith, when i was a kid. It is from Henry David Thoreau----- "If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured, or far away"------
That is how you lived your life on your own terms. . you are loved by many and will be missed

i didn’t say much on my last post cause I’m still pretty speechless. My heart is broken only thing that gets me threw is knowing you are finally at peace. I’m so so happy i got to spend time with you this past September! You missed a lot in my life growing up but you always seemed to find your way back to me. I’m so happy you got to experience one of the biggest days of my life me getting engaged. And I’m so so happy you got to spend time with your grandkids that loved you so much. I’ll love you always and forever. See you later dad i love you

27 years ago you swept me off my feet, we made a beautiful baby girl that grown up into a beautiful women and mother that I know you loved with all your heart and your Grandchildren. I turn on the radio and hear all the songs you sang to me or Jessie. Don’t think I’ll ever forget I know the songs that reminded you of me as I will always keep dear to my heart, about everyone you sang was meant for me. Remember when I was 10 years old you were 20 ha ha that was always something you said God planned. I loved that we were able to make peace in September and admit to each other we never stopped loving each other, we just couldn’t be together as you were a traveling man, I always said you were my hippy free spirited love. Please tell Dad I miss him as I know you both are running a muck together up in Heaven. Please watch over Your Jessie Blue your baby girl and your Granchildren please bring her peace as she needs it at this time. I love you Lee and will always hold you dear to my heart until we are reunited again. Do not tell your jokes up there cause to be truthful they aren’t appropriate for Heaven!

You changed my life Lee.....you made me laugh like nobody has before..or since. I will miss your corny jokes...how you got mad and threw the cards when I beat you at pinochle......the songs you sang and the hundreds of stories you told.....over and over and over. I will miss the call on my birthday to always remind me I was 8 days older than you. Plain and simple I'm gonna miss you the rest of my life. I loved you then and I love you now. You will not be forgotten. Peace be with you dear friend.
