Hoyt D. Davis
Born Nov.26th, 1939 in Bellgreen, Ala. To Robert Lee and Nettie Davis. One of 5 brothers, and 4 sisters, moving to Idaho at a very young age. He attended schools in Notus, Middleton, and Caldwell. After high school he worked at the J.R. Simplot Co.
In the spring of 1960, he met his Best friend (Virginia Deitrick), and they married in September of 1960. They celebrated their 57th ann. last fall.
He worked for several trucking Firms, dispatched for Kent Bros. trucking out of Caldwell. He then started P&M Trucking as an owner operator.
Virginia and Hoyt were so blessed to have 4 Amazing sons. Hoyt taught the boys how to work at home, farming, and razing livestock, along with a lot of fun times, (fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and horseback riding, and packing trips).
Hoyt, was active in the community, he farmed, custom corn picked for farmers, and the Crookham Co.
Going to Jim’s Burger Den daily was a must to visit.
Hoyt became a team roping healer, traveled to south Az, in the winters, roping daily in the sun, traveling in their motor home, 4 wheeling, fishing, hunting, picking berries, good company, Razor riding with a large group from ( Middleton and the Caldwell), having good times.
Hoyt loved the Lord Jesus and couldn’t wait to finally see him. His love for the Lord showed in many ways.
He left behind his Wife and best friend Virginia, three sons and wives, (Todd & Michelle, Ted & Maria, and Jeff & Donna Davis), Four grandchildren (Wesley Davis, Monica & Brandon McNair, Makayla & Brandon Johnson, Shelby & Joey St. Andrew), and Five great grand children ( Braiden & Cameron McNair, Landon Davis, Anson Johnson, & Talis Fernandez), One Brother (Jerry Davis), & one sister( Betty Johnson).
Proceeded in death his son (Robert Davis), Parents (Robert & Nettie Davis), brothers (J.C., Marcell, & Donnie Davis), sisters ( Lavell Harden, Charlene Fountain, & Gloria Overton).
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at The Middleton Baptist Church. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com.
