Fern Stumbaugh

Fern Stumbaugh, 70, a lifelong resident of Caldwell, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 of natural causes. Per her request, no services will be held.
Fern was born July 22, 1947 to Arthur Lyle and Addie Mae Peacock in Nampa, Idaho. She was raised and educated in Caldwell, graduating from Caldwell High School in 1965. Fern went on to become a Beautician until 1976 when she became a stay-at-home mom.
When her three children were older, Fern started waiting tables at Victors Bar & Grill and later Flying J Restaurant. She looked forward to seeing her ‘regular’ customers every day. In fact, she lived for those days…and for the days that she went fishing with her parents.
Fern became very ill following a surgery in 2012. During these last few years she lost contact with a lot of her customer friends—just know that she thought and spoke of you daily.
Fern is survived by her children, Deborah Rivero, Shelley Stumbaugh and Chad Stumbaugh; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She has joined her parents, sisters and grandson in heaven.
