Jo, I am sorry to hear of Dennis' passing. I enjoyed working for Dennis at Alma College, but I really enjoyed my time with the two of you and Anders. I have many fond memories of our social time together. I will keep you and your family in my prayers at this very difficult time.

I am so very sorry about Dennis's death. I enjoyed working with him in the Admissions office at the College of Idaho. I wish I could honer him by being at the celebration of his life on Sat., but my grandson is graduating from Eagle High at the Taco Bell Arena about that time. My prayers are with Jo and the family. May you find comfort in your faith and with each other.
Sincerely,
Pat

My fondest memories were our visit to different areas of Caldwell that Dennis found a little scary. We would go at 10 or 11 at night and have a good time with the people in the area.He would always say: his is nothing like I thought it would be. I am glad you made me do this. Rest in peace my brother.

Meeting Dennis was one of my first memories of coming to Idaho, as he was Dean of Admissions when I visited from the east coast to check out Albertson College (College of Idaho). I was a little anxious about being in this foreign place, but Dennis was so warm and reassuring. Nineteen years later, I still remember his serene smile and the loving energy he exuded that eased my homesickness in my first few months as a freshman. He will be missed. I'm sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear about Dennis. We only knew Dennis and Jo for just couple great years. He was an open man and was a person who always cared about you as a person. We will miss Dennis and his free spirit. Our heart goes out to Jo who had a great life with Dennis.

Dennis' kind soul and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He always took time to stop by my desk to say Hi and ask how things were going, or to share a story about his family. A man who lived his faith with true presence and he will always be remembered.
My prayer is that you are provided strength and comfort from the Lord though the love of friends and family during the times of grief. May you find deep joy and even laughter in the precious memories during the times when you are missing him the most.
With sympathy and continued prayers, Lani

I spent many hours with Dennis on The Citadel Foundation Board of Directors. Dennis was impressive in his gentle and thoughtful approach to all matters. He was a warm and interesting personality who reached out to the masses and found the sincerity of friendship to exceed all other values. All that knew him feel the loss of this kind and caring man..

Dennis was one of the kindest men we have ever known and was a valued and trusted friend. We traveled together while he worked at The Citadel Foundation and was a great partner in alumni relations and fund raising. We are heart broken that a man of this caliber is already gone but know his pain from cancer has left his body. RIP Dennis. You were one of the best!!!!!

I have never, ever looked through the obits. For some reason, I did tonight. Now I know why. Dennis is one of my favorite people, and, easily, the best boss I ever had (Cof I), which has been problematic, as he set the bar very high. He was always thoughtful and measured and kind and supportive, with a boyish smirk and a genuine drive to support other people. He was so in love with his kids--and so proud of them. The last time I talked with him was about ten years ago--right after he moved to The Citadel. I was looking for a job reference for the HRC in DC. He was thrilled to provide the reference and so thoughtfully and warmly told me, again, about how fortunate he was to be a dad to his kids and wife to Jo. I am so sorry for this loss of the warmth and positivity that he oozed (and not just when he was sneezing after beer). If I lived in Idaho, I"d be at his service, certainly. I'm quite sure it will be a packed house.
