Dagoberto “Buddy” Lopez Jr passed away at the tender age of 22 on January 6, 2018. He was born on April 1, 1995 in Nampa, Idaho. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, and a bright light on any dark day.
Growing up in Caldwell, he enjoyed football and wrestling and had many close friends. He graduated High School from Columbia High School in Nampa with the Class of ’13. Buddy was always popular with the girls. He liked being an Aries and having his birthday on April Fool’s Day.
He worked with DasCo and Montana Lumber, and enjoyed drawing. He was very charismatic and easy-going, and could get along with everyone. His smile was electric. Buddy loved music and freestyle rap, and was constantly writing out lyrics and poems. Buddy was commonly known as “Buddy Love”.
Buddy was very close with his sisters and enjoyed taking them out to eat. He always had kind words for his nieces and nephews. His favorite sayings were “suspect”, “give you the juice”, and “you goofed”.
Buddy is survived by his his parents, Cyndy Jo (Glenn) Lovell and Dagoberto Fonseco Lopez; his sisters, Chere (Alan) Bolanos, Jacquelynn (Ceasar) Perez, Chazlynn Davis, Brittanyana Davis, Moriah (Danny) Blackmon, and Daliana Lopez; Grandma Helen (Bob) Davis and Grandpa Joe Baldwin; Aunt Angela (Alex) Sotelo; Uncle Brenton (Minerva) Baldwin; 18 nieces and nephews; many cousins.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped fund Buddy’s services; your help has been invaluable.
A viewing will be held Monday evening, January 15th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16th at Dakan Chapel, with burial to follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. Friends are invited to a reception at the Nampa Odd Fellows Hall, 204 12th Ave. S., following services. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
