Connie Maxine Washburn, 64 of Middleton, formerly of Bellevue, was a loving bride, mother, grandmother, and friend who passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at home from an extended illness. She will be genuinely missed by all of her loved ones and those who truly knew her.
Connie was born June 29, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. Her mother and young family moved to Idaho when she was a year old. She attended schools in the Magic Valley and was active in the Drill Team. Connie met and married her love, Harry James (Rusty) Washburn, on April 12, 1972. Later they were sealed together for time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with three children and four grandchildren.
During her life Connie was active in her church and community. She was a steady mind and a constant influence in their family business, Washburn Windows and Doors. She was also a co-owner of a successful party rental company. Connie loved to attend her children’s activities and was thrilled with their accomplishments.
Connie is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Harry ‘Rusty’ Washburn of Middleton; 3 children, Stefanie (Michael) Richmond of Meridian, Seth (Janet) Washburn of Emmett, and Ashley (Tyrell) Zufelt of Garden City; 2 brothers, Edward Hinton and Darrell Hinton; and 4 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and older brother.
Connie loved her home and life in Bellevue and will be buried there Friday, August 18th following funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Hailey LDS Church, 821 Broadford Rd, Hailey, ID 83333, with President Dan Parke conducting. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 prior to services in the Relief Society Room. Arrangements are under the care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
