Charles Bidiman Jr

April 4, 1929 ~ June 15, 2017 (age 88) 88 Years Old
Charles (Chuck) Bidiman Jr. was born April 4th, 1929 in Emmett, Idaho to Charles and Lola Bidiman. He met and fell in love with Phyllis Baines and they married as soon as she graduated from high school in 1950. Through the years the fun loving couple welcomed sons, Gary (1952), Larry (1954), Kerry (1956) and finally after 3 spunky boys they had a much loved daughter, Tina (1958).

Chuck moved his young family when transferred by Albertsons, gathering new memories, experiences and friends like a quilt. They lived in Vale, Oregon and for about 10 years in Tigard, Oregon, where their children would graduate from high school and some would meet their own spouses. Ultimately, to him, no place felt as much like home as Idaho. He spent the majority of his life there enjoying the seasons, their Christian Church family and their wonderful friends. Chuck was a man of strong faith and values.

Chuck spent his professional years as a meat cutter, often bringing meat cuts and mysterious surprises home to his family to try for dinner. He also built and remodeled homes and loved working with his hands. Upon retirement, Chuck and Phyllis managed their several properties; square danced with Knots & Squares, spent time in their yard and garden, loved watching westerns and traveled often to see family in both, Idaho and Oregon.

Chuck was called home to Jesus on Thursday, June 15th, 2017. He had chosen to remain in his own home as his final days were upon him, surrounded by the love of his life, Phyllis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son, Larry and sister, Fae Thom. Chuck is remembered by his sense of humor, his ability to handy-man anything, his love of dogs and his love of visiting with family and friends.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Phyllis, sons; Gary & Cindy Bidiman, Kerry Bidiman and daughter, Tina and Dave Westfall, daughter-in-law, Christie Bidiman, sister, Sharon Jones, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
